This is a guest post by Adam Rochat, founder of the Seattle Public Schools blog.

Adam was on the phone to talk about the current state of the schools porn market, what’s coming next and the future of public schools in the video below.

I want to talk a little bit about the future.

The last thing I want to do is to go back to the day of the Columbine shooters, when we were at the brink of mass shootings and I think we were looking at a very high probability that there would be some sort of a mass shooting.

So, we had all these things that were working in our favor, like having more teachers, having more people in the schools.

And the reality was that we were already at that point.

So we just went into a phase of looking at the worst possible situation that could occur.

I mean, it’s not that there weren’t some really horrible things going on in our country.

But when you have something like Columbine, when you are at the verge of a massacre, we’re not looking at it as if it’s a very serious threat, because we’re so far away.

And so, we just looked at the biggest potential problem and said, well, we’ve got to stop the bad guys, because it’s just not going to happen.

And that was the best way to go.

So I think that’s probably the best thing that we can do.

But I think what we need to do now is get our schools back to a place where they’re not at the point of being a real threat to anyone, and that is to have a lot more teachers and a lot of other things that help keep our schools safe.

I think if we do that, then we’ll be all right.

I’m hoping that we’ll see some of those teachers and some of the other things come in very, very quickly, because if we don’t, then it’s going to be a long, long, time before we see the kind of public safety that we want to see.

But we have to do it now.
