A college student was sentenced Thursday to four years in prison for possessing sex toy paraphernalia and having sex with a student he knew.
A jury convicted Aaron F. Latham of eight counts of possession of child pornography and sexual exploitation of a minor.
He was sentenced by Ontario Superior Court Justice John M. MacDonald in Kitchener, Ont.
Latham, 23, was also ordered to pay $4,000 in court costs.
The student was 18 years old at the time.
The boy said he was lured to Latham’s home by a friend, who offered him a video camera and other paraphernal items.
The boy told police Latham told him to take pictures of himself with the items.
When the boy refused, Latham said he took his pants off, put his penis inside, and put his mouth on his friend’s penis.
The court heard the teen was told by the friend to take the video camera back, which Latham did.
Latham then took the boy to the bathroom, where he had sex with him.
Afterward, the teen told police he woke up naked and he was naked.
He told police when he woke, Linton was in his bedroom.
Lantz’s lawyer said his client did not know the teen.
Lighthamats guilty plea was first reported by the York Times.
